The Director of Medical Education, Assam is inviting online applications for the post of Staff Nurse and ICU Technician in Medical College Hospital of the state. The conducting body has announced a total of 609 vacancies for Grade-III (Technical) posts. The vacancies and other relevant information are advertised through official notification with Advt. No.DME/135/2020/7082. The process of online application starts from June 30, 2020, onwards on dme.assam.gov.in. Eligible candidates can send their representations for the aforementioned posts up to July 15, 2020, till midnight.
The announced vacancies are bifurcated between the two posts of Staff Nurse (Critical Care) and ICU Technician. The post of Staff Nurse (Critical Care) has 484 advertised posts out of which 121 are reserved for OBC/MOBC, 29 for SC, 48 for STP, 24 for STH, 48 for EWS, 20 for Physically handicap and 194 for Unreserved category. For the post of ICU Technician, 125 vacancies are announced out of which 31 are reserved for OBC/MOBC, 08 for SC, 13 for STP, 06 for STH, 12 for EWS, 05 for Physically handicap and 50 for unreserved category. Candidates who are selected as Staff Nurse are offered Rs.14,000 – Rs. 60,500 plus grade pay of Rs.8,700/- whereas Rs.14,000 – Rs. 60,500 plus grade pay of Rs. 6,200 is provided to ICU Technician post.
Candidates are required to visit the official website of DME, Assam which is dme.assam.gov.in to submit the online applications. The conducting body accepts the application from those aspirants who ensures that they meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates who have B.Sc Nursing from a nursing college/institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council are eligible to apply. They must have registered with Assam Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors Council. In order to apply for ICU Technician, aspirants shall possess 12th pass certificate and Diploma in ICU Technician course from a government recognized institute. Age of the candidate applying for the said posts should not be less than 18 years and not exceed 38 years as on January 01, 2020.
DME, Assam conducts a document verification round to verify that aspirants fulfil the eligibility criteria for Staff Nurse and ICU Technician. Candidates shall carry the original as well as the photocopies of all the certificates and mark sheet to support their educational qualifications and other criteria. Shortlisted candidates shall carry their 10th certificate, date of birth certificate, two passport size colour photograph, all the mark sheets and ass certificate, Nursing Council Registration Certificate, Caste certificate, Disability certificate, Economically Weaker Section certificate, Permanent residentship certificate.
