Railway Recruitment Board, Chennai has published the 6th Corrigendum to E-Tender Number RRBCHENNAI-CEN01-2019-ECA. The tender was released earlier for the purpose of the engagement of the Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) to conduct recruitment exams of the RRB. In particular, the Corrigendum notice highlighted that the Pre-Bid meeting is to be held as per schedule on July 03, 2020, at the office of the RRB in Chennai at 11:00 hours. Bidders are advised to forward any queries related to the changed scenario of conducting exams after COVID-19 by June 28, 2020, to firstname.lastname@example.org. In addition, RRB Chennai has also hinted that the Pre-Bid meeting may also be held online if required. Therefore, bidders are invited to forward the details of their representative to the aforementioned email address.
RRB Chennai was all set to conduct recruitment of eligible candidates to Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) posts advertised via central recruitment notice number CEN No. 01/2019. Accordingly, the online registration process was concluded for the same on April 12, 2019. The 1st stage Computer Based Test (CBT) was scheduled to be held between June to September 2019. However, RRB Chennai postponed the 1st stage CBT through an official notice dated 14-10-2019.
In order to conduct the 1st stage CBT now, the RRB Chennai issued E-Tender Number RRBCHENNAI-CEN01-2019-ECA. The tender notice was for inviting prospective bidders for the engagement of ECA for conducting the multiple stages of CBT and other selection procedures like skill tests, document verification, and related services. The approximate cost of the work was estimated in the tender notice at Rs. 251,07,33,621 (excluding GST) while the non-refundable cost of Tender Form was indicated at Rs 20,000. Now that the RRB has released the 6th Corrigendum notice, it has hinted that Pre-Bid meetings may be held online in view of the ongoing exigencies leading to any last-minute demand of such situations. Therefore, prospective bidders are advised to send it details of their representatives including, the name of the representative and organization, authorization letter, email id, and mobile number to email@example.com. Prospective bidders are otherwise reiterated through the Corrigendum that the Pre-Bid meeting will be held as per schedule at the office of the RRB Chennai. In addition, keeping in view that the COVID-19 situation has led to changes in exam conducting guidelines (e.g. social distancing), the RRB Chennai has also invited prospective bidders to forward their queries to firstname.lastname@example.org.
