Dibrugarh University today, on February 13, 2019, announced result of examinations held in November 2018. Result of BA, B.Sc, B.Com first, third, fifth semester examinations have been announced. Result can be checked at links notified at dibru.ac.in including dibru.net, indiaresults.com, exametc.com.
Upon reaching the official website of Dibrugarh University Assam that is dibru.ac.in, candidates can see a section on the main page on BA / B.Sc / B.Com results. Web links for results are given in this section.
Dibru.net contains 18 PDF files. The page opens with the heading “Results of 1st, 3rd and 5th Semester B.A., B.Sc., B.Com. xaminations held in November, 2018”. For every course there is one PDF file each for 1st semester (old), 1st semester (new), 3rd semester (old), 3rd semester (new), 5th semester (old), 5th semester (new). Result accessible from dibru.net indicates roll numbers of qualified candidates.
University results at indiaresults.com and exametc.com contain complete details of marks.
Candidates can check their result at indiaresults.com by name or roll number. Result will show roll number, registration number, name, exam name, centre, subject wise marks details including, subject name, subject code, maximum marks, marks secured. Status of pass or fail is also indicated.
To check result by name, candidates have to enter their name and select semester from dropdown then click “Find Results” button. Then a list of all candidates with that name appears on screen along with ful name, roll number, course, registration number. Candidates can select their data and click Get to get result.
At exametc.com, candidates can check result by roll number or get it through SMS. To get result by SMS, they have to click “SMS Result” link against course and semester and enter name, mobile number, district/city, roll number.
Existing rules and regulations of DU have been followed in the compilation of results. The concerned authorities ensure that no discrepancy exists in any result. However, in case it does, then the same shall be rectified as per rules.
Students can submit discrepancies to Deputy Controller of Examinations (A) within one month of date of declaration of result. One can also submit applications for re-scrutiny of scripts through Principal of own college. Such applications should reach Controller of Examinations (i/c) Dibrugarh University within 10 days from date of declaration of results.
Dibrugarh University was founded in 1965. It is situated in Rajabheta, Assam. The university has a campus spread over 500 acres. There are 4408 students on roll excluding PhD scholars. It has 5 Schools of Studies namely School of Humanities-Social Sciences and Law, School of Science and Engineering, School of Commerce and Management Science, School of Education, School of Earth Atmospheric Science Environment and Energy.
As per NIRF data, there are 190 regular faculty members, 136 PhD faculty, 204 faculty with PhD and Masters qualification. Dibrugarh University Assam was ranked 74th best university in India by NIRF.
