The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the online registration date along with the submission of fee dates for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2019. The registration date is extended till September 25, 2019 and submission of fee till September 30, 2019.
Initially the last date to apply was today. We had reported yesterday about registration deadline extension of the previous year; last year the deadline was extended by nine days.
CBSE has released two important documents at ctet.nic.in. One is public notice for date extension CTET December 2019. The other is revised schedule for examination CTET December 2019. The first one informs officially about the new last date. And the other gives the new dates for other events like form correction also.
As per the revised schedule, candidates can apply online for CTET December 2019 until September 25, 2019, 11.59 pm. They can pay fee until September 30, 2019, 3.30 pm. Final verification of fee payment by candidates will be up on October 3, 2019. Then form correction will start on October 4, 2019, and end on October 10, 2019. Rest of the schedule remains the same.
With only seven days left to apply for CTET 2019, aspirants across the country are rushing to register at ctet.nic.in, due to which candidates are facing issues of page not loading, error displayed while opening the application form. To tackle those issues, CBSE have opened up two servers for registration.
In order to register for the CTET exam, go to the CTET’s official portal, ctet.nic.in. On landing on the home page, look for the link “CTET December 2019 Application Form”. After that, click on apply button in blue color. On clicking the link, it will lead to a page of exam instructions which needs to be read thoroughly. After reading the instructions, click on the “Click here to proceed” button.
While filling up the form, candidates need to upload scanned photograph in a file size (10 kb to 100 kb) and a scanned signature in a file size ( 3 kb to 30 kb). The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height) and the dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm (length) x 1.5 cm (height).
Along with the application form, candidates belonging to general / OBC candidates have to pay Rs 700 to appear in any one paper (paper I and II). Those who are applying for both has to pay an additional of Rs 1200. Whereas candidates belonging to SC, ST, different abled category need to pay Rs 350 for any one paper and Rs 600 for both the papers. The payment can be made either by online (debit card / credit card / net banking), or offline (e-challan of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank).
Once the fee is submitted, then the particulars of the application form cannot be edited / changed. Therefore before submitting the fees, candidates can should verify if any information filled up in the application form needs to be replaced. The window correction will open on September 27, 2019 till October 03, 2019.
Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their name, father / mother’s name, date of birth, category, differently abled category, paper oped (Paper I or II), subject for paper II, first choice of center, language I and or II, address of correspondence, name of the Institution / college / university. This facility is a one time facility and candidates should do the needful before the due date.
The examination of 13th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is scheduled to be held on December 08, 2019. Paper I will begin from 09:30 am to 12 noon and paper II from 02:00 pm to 04:30 pm. Candidates will have to report for paper I at 08:00 am and for paper II at 12 noon.
CTET is a national level test conducted for those candidates who want to become teacher for classes I to V and for classes VI to VIII. It is a pen-paper based conducted in 20 languages in 110 cities all over the country.
