Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to release CTET 2021 notification today. Along with the detailed notification, the Board shall also activate CTET 2021 application form link. Aspirants who are willing to appear for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) can apply for the same through ctet.nic.in.

Last Saturday, reports have been circulated that CBSE is going to release the CTET notification on September 20, 2021. Major news portals have also reported that CTET application form 2021 will release on the same day as that of notification. The application window shall remain open for a month till October 19, 2021. The 15th edition of the CTET exam will take place between December 16, 2021, to January 13, 2021.

Considering the resources, eligible candidates can track the official website to get the latest updates on the CTET exam 2021. They must have passed class 12th/ graduation with an education degree (B.Ed/D.Ed(Special Education)/B.El.Ed/D.El.Ed) to apply.

Once the application form link is available, they can register for the exam accordingly. On successful registration, candidates can process to fill in the CTET application form. Thereafter, they have to upload the document as prescribed and pay the requisite application fee. Note that general and OBC category candidates have to pay Rs. 1000/- whereas SC/ ST/ DA has to pay Rs. 500/-. Those who are applying for both papers (Paper I and Paper II) are liable to pay Rs. 1200/- (Rs 600/- for SC/ ST/ DA) as application fee. The payment for the fee can be made via e-challan/ Credit card/debit card/net banking.

Moreover, CBSE has not released any official statement on the CTET 2021 exam date and related events. However, an important notice was released on July 30, 2021, discussing the tentative exam date and some changes in the exam. As per the notice, the exam is tentatively scheduled for December 2021/ January 2022.

First change was that this year’s CTET question paper will be prepared based on the existing syllabus however, the questions will be less of factual knowledge and more of conceptual understanding. The second major change is the mode of exam. Previously, the CTET exam was held as a pen paper-based exam. From this year onwards, the CTET exam will be organized as a computer-based test i.e. online mode. This change will motivate teachers to be more computer literate.
