The National Testing Agency (NTA) is soon, going to release the official notification for the upcoming CSIR NET 2022 examination. Ever year, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) is being held for admission to fellowship and lectureship programmes as well as the post of Assistant Teacher. So, this year as well, the eligibility test will be held in June 2022. The application process for the same will be released soon, on the official website csirnet.nta.nic.in.
Assuming that the CSIR NET 2022 examination will be organised in June 2022, candidates have around 2 months of preparation time left. So, along with waiting for the official notification, candidates must gear-up and start preparing for the upcoming eligibility test in full swing.
Knowing the Syllabus & Paper Pattern
On the basis of past-year’s CSIR NET syllabus, the paper will comprise of three parts – Part A, Part B and Part C. Following are the subject sections that will be covered in each section –
Part A: General Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Graphical Analysis, Analytical & Numerical Ability, Quantitative Comparison, Series Formation, Puzzles
Part B: Questions pertaining to the chosen subject
Part C: Scientific Concepts, Applications of Scientific Concepts
As regards the CSIR NET 2022 paper pattern is concerned, the distribution of questions and marking scheme shall differ based on the subject chosen by each candidate. CSIR NET 2022 covers a wide range of subjects including –

# Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
# Life Sciences
# Physical Sciences
So, each candidate is advised to follow the pattern and marking scheme specific to their chosen subject and plan their preparation strategy accordingly.
CSIR NET 2022 Tips, Tricks & Resources
Looking at the CSIR NET 2022 syllabus, it is evident that Part A is common to all streams and focuses on general topics. So, for the first three weeks, focus on solving topic-specific questions and previous-year papers relevant to this part. Mock tests centred around part A will also help candidates get a grasp of this subject.
After 2-3 weeks, dedicate time to revising the theory of the chosen subject, make notes of important pointers, jot down factual data and figures. Simultaneously, solve mock tests and question papers available online/in the market. Additionally, dedicate an hour’s time every day to revise the Part A syllabus.
In the last 2-3 weeks, dedicate time towards revising specific scientific concepts, Watch YouTube videos to understand how each concept can be applied to solve CSIR NET 2022 questions. Several videos will be available online wherein teachers and subject-experts are explaining solutions o previous-year questions. This will help to understand how to approach each question in the paper.
