CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR NEERI) is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies for the posts of Senior Scientist and Principal Scientist. CSIR NEERI has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the official website i.e. neeri.res.in. Eligible and intending candidates can apply online at the website for recruitment before the last date. The last date to fill up and submit online applications is September 29, 2020.
As per the detailed notification, 07 vacancies are available in all. The vacancies are lateral entry posts. A single vacancy is available for the post of Senior Scientist/Principal Scientist (Post Code SS-01). 02 vacancies are available for the post of Senior Scientist/Principal Scientist (Post Code SS-02). 02 other vacancies are also available for the post of Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist (SS-03). 01 vacancy is available for the post of Senior Scientist/Principal Scientist (Post Code: SS-04). In addition, 01 vacancy is available for the post of Principal Scientist/Senior Principal Scientist (Post Code SS-05). Senior Scientists are appointed at Level 12 of the Pay Matrix while the lateral post of Principal Scientist is at the Level 13 of the Pay Matrix. Lateral post of Senior Principal Scientist is at the Level 13-A of the Pay Matrix.
Candidates are advised to go through the official notification and ensure that they meet the minimum specified eligibility criteria specified for each post. Candidates must have PhD (Environmental Science & Engineering/Environmental Engineering) or PhD (Environmental Science) along with relevant experience in order to apply for Post Code SS-01. PhD (Chemistry) qualified candidates can apply for Post Code SS-02. On the other hand, candidates with a PhD (Environmental Science & Engineering/Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering/Civil Engineering/Chemical Engineering can apply for Post Code SS-03. In order to apply for Post Code SS-04, candidates having a PhD (Science) qualification are eligible to apply. Candidates having a PhD (Science/Engineering) are eligible to apply for Post Code SS-05. Eligible applicants will be selected by a Screening Committee at the discretion of the organization. In addition, for selection, the Committee may decide to conduct further written/screening test or seminar at the initial stage. However, final selection will be done through a interview. Selected candidates will join at the Headquarters of the CSIR NEERI at Nagpur. However, posting can be done anywhere at the discretion of the institute.
