The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has opened the online registration portal for Common Law Admission Test(CLAT) 2022 exam today, January 1, 2022. Students interested in pursuing either the 5-year integrated LLB and/or the LLM programme in the prestigious NLUs namely West Bengal NLU of Judicial Sciences, CNLU – Patna, RMLNU – Lucknow, GNLU – Gandhinagar, RGNLU – Patiala, HPNLU – Shimla, DNLU – Dehradun, and Dr. BR Ambedkar National Law University, can now apply online.
CLAT 2022 Registration – Direct Link

CLAT 2022 Application Form – Last Date
The deadline to fill the form is on March 31, 2022. The national-level entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 08, 2022.
CLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling the application form, students must ensure whether they fulfill the eligibility criteria. All applicants for the UG-Law programs must have qualified at the senior secondary level with a minimum qualifying mark of 45%. This applies to candidates belonging to the general/OBC/PwD categories. For the SC/ST candidates, the bar is set at 40%. For post-graduates, the requirement is an LL.B or equivalent degree from a recognized university with a scoresheet of 50% for general/OBC/PwD candidates. Similarly, it is 45% for the SC/ST candidates.
How to Apply for CLAT 2022
To register for the examination, students can follow the below-mentioned steps-
Step 1: Head over to the official website of CLAT 2022 – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the link that says “Click Here” under the text “For details about CLAT 2022”.
Step 3: Click on the “Register” button for new registration.
Step 4: Enter the required fields i.e. name, mobile number, email id, password. This will complete the basic registration. Then you have to fill the CLAT 2022 application form, where one has to fill information such as personal details, category, nationality, residential status as well as the educational details. Apart from these, the requirement to upload a scanned copy of passport size photograph and a signature is also there. Aspirants are asked to check the specifications to resize the documents before uploading.
Step 5: Pick the examination center followed by national law universities(NLUs) in order of preference.
Step 6: Ensure payment to complete the registration process. The application fee is ₹ 4,000 for the unreserved (UR) candidates and ₹ 3,500 for reserved categories. The fees are the same for both UG and PG candidates.
CLAT 2022 is being conducted for admission to 22 NLUs across the country. The UG examination is a 120 minutes test with 150 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark each with 0.25 negative marks. Candidates are tested for five subjects: English, general knowledge, legal reasoning, logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude. The PG exam texts on the ability of a student on an all-around scale and is a 120 minutes exam comprising 120 questions. The weightage of marks is the same for postgraduates with a 0.25 negative marking per wrong question attempted. Candidates are tested on compulsory subjects from undergraduate courses.
