Central University of Jammu is inviting online applications to fill up the vacant posts of Research Assistant and Technical Assistant in different centres of School of Education. An official notification with No. CUJSOE/PMMMNMTT/02 is available on cujammu.ac.in. Total 09 vacancies are announced for the said posts. The recruitment to the School of Education is purely on contractual basis. Eligible candidates are invited for the walk-in-interview on July 29, 2020. Interested candidates can submit their representations for the post before July 25, 2020.
Out of total vacancies, 06 are announced for Research Assistant and 03 are for Technical Assistant. Candidates are shortlisted under 03 centres of School of Education (Pandit Madan Mohan Malivya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching). The name of the centres are as follows, Centre for Learning and Pedagogic Studies, Centre for Assessment and valuation, and Centre for Teacher Resource & Academic Support. Candidates who are selected for Research Assistant get Rs. 35,000/- per month and Technical Assistant receives Rs. 25,000/-.
Candidates who have a Master’s degree in Education (M.Ed) are declared eligible for the post of Research Assistant. Those who have NET/PhD in education are also eligible for the post. They must have knowledge of computer applications and research experience in the concerned fields along with excellent academic writing and research. To apply for the post of Technical Assistant, candidates should have done bachelors in Computer Applications/Computer Science/ PGDCA. In addition, they should have good knowledge of graphics design, coral draw, photoshop, page maker with designing. Master’s in Computer Science and 02-year work experience is desirable.
Age limit is also an important criterion that aspirants have to fulfil before applying. The upper age limit for Research Assistant and Technical Assistant is 35 years.

Considering the educational qualification of candidates, they are invited for the interview. The Central University of Jammu conducts a walk-in-interview round for shortlisting eligible candidates for the announced posts. No travel allowance and dearness allowance is provided for attending the interview. As recruitment is on a contractual basis, candidates are shortlisted for a short period. Their initial appointment shall be for a period of 06 months. This period may get extended due to the continuity of the project and the performance of candidates.
