On March 04, 2019, Indian Institute of Bombay announced the CEED 2019 Result on its official website, http://www.ceed.iitb.ac.in. Candidates who had appeared for the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED 2019) can now download their scorecards by logging in with their registered email IDs and password. Earlier, on February 04, CEED 2019 final answer key for Part A was released on its official website. As per the statistics, 5491 candidates had appeared for CEED 2019, whereas 1165 candidates have qualified for this exam, this year.
Delhi resident, Divya Lohia is said to rank 1st in CEED 2019 with a score of 70.59, while Anurag Sachan (64.41) of Kanpur and Alen Antony Francis (63.77) of Ernakulum are ranked 2nd and 3rd, respectively. CEED 2019 Scorecard is said to be valid for 1 year, from the date of declaration of result. IIT Bombay will take into consideration the marks obtained in Part A and B to calculate the final CEED score. Once the CEED 2019 result is declared, it is also shared with World University of Design, VIT University, DJ Academy of Design, LPU, UPES and Shrishti Institute of Art Design and Technology.
While 25% of marks weightage is given to Part A, Part B accounts for 75% of marks. As per the CEED 2019 cut off marks are concerned, it is different for different category candidates. Candidates must also note that no cut off mark is released for Part B of the exam. Part A, being the objective part of the exam accounts for 10%, 9% and 5% across Open, OBC – NCL and SC / ST / PwD category candidates, respectively. CEED 2019 was held on January 19, 2019, between 10 am to 1 pm in computer based mode for a duration of 3 hours. This national level design test was conducted across Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur and Vishakhapatnam for MDes and PhD admission to IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IIT Kanpur, and to Ph.D programmes in Design at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur.
In the year 2018, 6,423 candidates registered out of which 5,507 candidates had appeared for the entrance exam. Whereas, a total of 1,003 candidates qualified for the exam. The figures of qualified candidates have been increased, this year by 162 more candidates!
