Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is conducting rceruitment process for filling 186 vacancies in group A , B, and C posts. The last date to submit online application form and pay fee is tomorrow, October 31, 2019. For all who apply, the council will conduct computer based tests once form submission ends.
In the group A posts are that for research officer chemistry, research officer pharmacology, research officer bio-chemistry, research officer medicine, research officer animal / experimental pathology, research officer pathology, research officer ayurveda, research officer microbiology, library and information officer. Their respective vacancies are 5, 2, 10, 6, 2, 14, 12, 4, 1. A post graduation is required for all these posts. Specifically, for each post, MD / MS / MSc and such programs have been specified per the post, in advertisement no.2-10/2017.
However for the post of library and information officer, candidates with MA or M.Sc or M.Com with B.Lib.Sc with 7 years experience can apply. They also need knowledge of sanskrit or tamil.
The group B posts include assistant research officer botany, assistant research officer chemistry, assistant research officer clinical psychology, assistant research officer farm manager, assistant research officer bio-technology, assistant research officer pharmacognosy, assistant research officer physiotherapy, assistant research officer pharmacology, staff nurse. Here the respective vacancies are 4, 4, 2, 1, 3, 3, 1, 12, and 49.
For this post with the highest vacancies, staff nurse, CCRAS requires applicants to have B.Sc Nursing or Diploma in general nursing and midwifery, and registration with SNC. For the other posts, again a postgraduation is necessary, however these degrees are not of the MD/MS kind. Required degrees range from PG in botany, chemistry, to M.Pharm, depending upon the post.
Group C posts are research assistant bio-chemistry non medical, research assistant botany, research assistant chemistry, research assistant pharmacology, research assistant organic chemistry, research assistant garden supervisor, research assistant curator, research assistant garden, research assistant pharmacy, research assistant sanskrit, library and information assistant, statistical assistant, translator hindi assistant. With respective vacancies of 2, 19, 11, 3, 1, 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 1, 1. Again, these posts need post graduation, in subjects like pharmacy, botany, and so on, as specified in the advertisement.
The upper age limit for Group B and C posts is 30 as on 1st Jan 2019. It is 40 years for group A posts except library and information officer, for which it is 45 years.
CCRAS will conduct written exam, followed by interview for group A posts. And only written exam for group B and C posts. For the former group, the exam will be of 70 marks and interview of 30. The latter two groups will have the exam itself of 100 marks. In all exams, there will be negative marking to the tune of 0.25 per incorrect answer. Detailed syllabus and exam pattern for each post is given in point number 4.3 in the advertisement.
To apply, interested candidates need to visit ccras.nic.in. At the time of publishing this news, the website was not functioning. However it is expected to be up again soon. The application fee is Rs 1500 for UR and OBC candidates to apply for group A, Rs 500 for the same categories to apply for group B, and Rs 200 if they apply for group C. There is no fee for SC, ST, PWD, EWS, women for any category.
