CBSE Class 10 Result 2020 Declared: Pass Percentage Increased by 0.36 per cent this year

CBSE 10th result 2020 is available for check at cbseresults.nic and digilocker.gov.in. 1713121 number of students passed the class 10th board exams.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the much-awaited class 10 result 2020 online at cbse.nic.in and cbsereults.nic.in. This year a total of 18 lakh students registered for CBSE Class 10th examination 2020. Other than the official website, students can also check their result by SMS/ IVRS, Digilocker, Umang app or from their school.

The overall pass percentage of CBSE Class 10th examination 2020 is 91.46%. Last year, the overall pass percentage was 91.10%. One can see a marginal increase of 0.36 per cent of when compared with the pass percentage of the last year. Girls have outshined boys in CBSE 10th exam 2020. The pass percentage of girls is 93.31 whereas for boys, it is 90.14. About 8.02% students have been placed in compartment in class 10th.

One of the applaudable change done by CBSE is that it has removed the terms like ‘Fail’ and ‘Compartment’ from the mark sheet. This has been done keeping in mind the stress witnessed by the students. Everyone is already coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, hence, to reduce the stress, the students who have not passed the exam will get ‘Essential Repeat’ in their mark sheet. 

To check CBSE Class 10 the result, firstly, the students have to visit the official website. Then, click on the relevant link of the result. Next, enter the roll number, school number, centre number, admit card id, date of birth(as per last year). After entering the details, click on the ‘submit’ button to check the results. Lastly, take the screenshot of the result or download it and take its printout for future references. 

Other than the official website, students can also check their result by SMS / email, IVRS, Digilocker, Umang app, or from their schools. This year, the board is not releasing the merit list for CBSE 10th and 12th exam 2020.

Last year, a total of 17,61,078 students appeared for CBSE Class 10th examination. The overall pass percentage was 91.10%. Girls scored more than the boys last year and had the pass percentage of 92.45%. On the other hand, the pass percentage of Boys was 90.14%. Trivandrum was at the first position last year whereas Chennai was at the second position.
