Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that the result of class 10 students will be announced on June 20, 2021. The date of the result has been notified in the notice on the objective criteria titled Policy for Tabulation of Marks for Class X Board Exams 2021.
The schools and the board will follow this schedule – Schools are required to form result committee by May 5, 2021. The provision of subject wise, school wise, distribution of marks as per past CBSE board exams has to be done by May 10, 2021. By the same deadline, rationale document needs to be compiled.
Schools need to complete all assessments by May 15, 2021. The portal for upload of marks will be up by May 20, 2021. Schools need to finalize and send results by May 25, 2021. Checking and moderation of marks by schools will be by May 28, 2021. Marks will be submitted to CBSE by June 5, 2021. Then internal assessment marks out of 20 will be submitted by June 11, 2021.
After that, finally, result will be announced by June 20, 2021.
Last year, the board announced results on July 15, 2021.
Result will be announced at cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in. Students will be able to check their result by entering their roll number, school number, center number, admit card id.
CBSE has also outlined the complete marking scheme as per which the result will be compiled this time. Students will get 20 marks for internal assessment as per the previously existing criteria. And they will 80 marks for other tests that the school has conducted over the year. They will get marks out of 10 on the basis of their performance in unit test, out of 30 for their performance in half-yearly, and out of 40 marks for their performance in pre-board exams.
There will, however be, a separate scheme for private, patrachar, and 2nd chance compartment candidates.
Like always, there will be provision of grace marks. However, if student does not get minimum passing marks even with grace marks, they will be placed in “essential repeat” or “compartment” category. However, such students will be allowed to continue in class 11 till their compartment exam results are announced.
