IIM Ahmedabad will close the CAT exam 2021 application form in 4 days. The deadline for registration is September 15, 2021.
As of now, there is no update from the organizers on whether or not the deadline will be extended. Nevertheless, it is wise for all MBA aspirants to complete the application formalities sooner rather than later, and best not to expect deadline to be extended.
The application form for CAT (Common Admission Test) 2021 exam is open online at the official website, iimcat.ac.in. The exam is the gateway for admission to PGDM, MBA programme of 20 IIMs and 1200 top B-schools.
CAT 2021 is an online test computer-based test having three sections, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and Quantitative Ability. Post exam, the candidates have to appear in the group discussion, writing ability test (WAT) and personal interview round.
Common Admission Test (CAT) is an annual management exam conducted by IIM (Indian Institute of Management) for admission into the top 20 IIMs. The candidates who qualify for the exam can take up admission in 2 years MBA or PGDM, PGPM programmes offered by these colleges.
As per the official brochure, the applicant must have completed graduation with 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST canddiates) in any discipline. The final year students are also eligible to apply for the exam only if their result is released before the counselling round.
Follow the steps mentioned below to successfully apply for the CAT 2021 exam:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IIM CAT, iimcat.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the “New candidate registration” option
Step 3: Enter name, date of birth, mobile number, country, email id and click on generate OTP
Step 4: Now, specify the OTP along with the captcha code and click the submit button
Step 5: Log in with the user id and password on the next page and fill the application form with personal details, contact details, scanned documents, academic qualifications and work experience
Step 6: On the next page, specify the programme applying for along with the names of 6 exam cities for taking up the exam
Step 7: In the end, pay the application fee (INR 2200 for unreserved and INR 1100 for SC/ST candidates) using any of the online payment channels and click on the final submit button to complete the application form submission
Documents required for CAT 2021 application form
The candidates can check out the list of documents mentioned below to fill the CAT 2021 application form:
- Candidate’s valid id proof
- Acdemic certificates (class 10th, 12th, graduation marksheets)
- Work experinece certifcate
- Category certificate
- Scanned photograph within the dimension of 30mm X 45mm and with file size not more than 80kb
- Scanned signature within the dimension of 80mm X 45mm and with file size not more than 80kb
- Category certificate PDF file
- PWD certificate PDF file
Once the application process is over, the admit card for the entrance exam will be released on October 27, 2021. The candidates will be assigned one test city centre from the six chosen by them in the application form.
Apart from CAT 2021, MAH MBA CET 2021 is also scheduled for September 25 and September 26, 2021. The SNAP 2021 exam schedule has also been released and the same is going to be held on December 19, 2021, January 08 and January 16, 2022.
