It will be conducted in specific centres across the nation as notified to the candidates.
The important guidelines about the examination have been uploaded by the conducting body on their official website iimcat.ac.in. Along with the guidelines, the conducting body has also specified the dress code which needs to be abided by the candidates appearing for the examination. The candidates not following the given dress code will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
As per the details mentioned under the ‘Frisking of the Candidates’ section, there are the following limitations regarding the apparel of boys and girls for the examination:
What to wear:
- Socks

The candidates will be asked to remove the shoes before entering the examination hall if it doesn’t match the dress code. So, it is advised to wear a pair of sandals to the CAT 2021 examination. The candidates need to follow all the rules mentioned in the document in order to appear for CAT 2021. The reason behind a strict dress code is majorly to hinder any sort of unfair and dishonest practices in the examination. Moreover, carrying a note and maintaining suitable behaviour in accordance with the decorum of the exam is sought.
Along with this, candidates are required to carry a mask and a sanitizer to the exam centre and follow all the Covid-19 protocols. They are also advised to maintain a safe social distance while entering and leaving the examination hall.
CAT 2021 will be organized on strict contours. Candidates would be barred from entering the exam venue if they arrive 15 minutes late. Therefore, it is recommended to observe punctuality and reach the venue at least an hour before.
