Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are also set to conduct the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 exam on November 28, 2021. The exam will be conducted in the computer-based format at allotted centres across the country. Admit cards for the same have already been issued on the official website iimcat.ac.in. Just days before the exam, IIMs has published two important documents – 1. CAT 2021 Test Day Guide, and 2. Authorization Form. Both are pertaining to permission for carrying exceptional items.
The CAT 2021 test day guide, available on the official website iimcat.ac.in, carries all the required information about the exam. This guide carries important information about the admit card, dos and don’ts, exam day schedule, timings and things to carry, etc. According to the guide, the admission test will be held in three slots – 1. Forenoon Session – 08.30 am to 10.30 am, 2. Afternoon Session – 12.30 pm to 02.30 pm, and 3. Evening Session – 04.30 pm to 06.30 pm.
In addition to the exam-day details, the CAT 2021 test day guide also carries information about the “authorization form”. Accordingly, candidates must carry this form to the test centre in case, they wish to carry any prohibited items for the exam due to certain medical reasons. candidates must also contact the test centre to also get their authorization.
The CAT 2021 authorisation form has also been uploaded on the official portal. Candidates have to print a copy of this form and fill-in the required details. These details include name, CAT 2021 application number, exam city and test centre name. Additionally, they must also fill-in the undertaking, specifying the list of items they wish to carry. This form needs to be carried to the exam centre and produced before the officials to gain entry into the exam centre.
The IIM CAT 2021 test guide also provides information about the items which candidates need to carry to the exam centre. These items are compulsory without which entry to exam centre will not be granted. These items include the following:
# IIM CAT 2021 Admit Card A4-seze printout with a photograph affixed on the document
# Valid photo-ID such as Aadhar Card, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, etc
# A face mask
# Sanitizer bottle
# Required medical certificates (if required)
# Scribe affidavit (if required)
Beyond the permitted items, any other object such as electronic gadgets, study material, notes, pen, pencil, etc are not permitted to the exam centre. To prevent any last-minute chaos, candidates are advised to follow these rules to the hilt.
