CAT 2018 Topper Raunak Majumdar Scores 100 Percentile; Wishes To Pursue Career In Finance

At 10 AM on January 05, 2019, IIM Calcutta has released the CAT 2018 Result. Raunak Majumdar is one of the candiadtes who has aced the exam this year with a 100 Percentile. The CAT 2018 exam was held on November 25, 2018.

Scoring a 100 percentile in India’s most difficult management exam – Common Aptitude Test (CAT) is a dream come true for all the toppers who have done immensely well this year. Congratulations to Raunak Majumdar on being CAT 2018 Topper.

CAT 2018 Topper, Raunak Majumdar, has scored overall 100 Percentile. His sectional percentiles are VARC – 99.95, DILR –99.98 and QA –100.

Raunak Majumdar on an interview with the media has said that he had started his CAT 2018 preparation in the month of August 2018. He is a strong believer that mock tests are the key to prepare for the CAT exam. He took a lot of Mock tests to feel confident about his preparations.

He has attempted around 30-35 mock tests before the CAT 2018 exam for preparation.

His preparation strategy revolved around taking mock tests and analysing the performance at each step. He also says that mock tests are very reliable to improve the speed of attempting the question in the exam.

About the importance of coaching, he says that, the test series of reputed coaching centers help a lot. Good test series gives an edge to the preparations.

Raunak Majumdar has opted for admission in IIMs A, B, C, L, K, I, FMS, and XLRI

When asked about any specific study material for CAT exam, he says he has not followed any particular study material. However, he made sure he finished whatever book he is studying within a month. He kept a target of 2 books per month.

He already has a strategy for the PI rounds in the selection process of the IIMs. He says for the PI round his strategy would be to introspect. has wants to convey his motivation behind pursuing MBA. He looks forward to make a career in finance after is MBA is complete.

The Result of CAT 2018 contains the section wise scaled scores and percentile. In addition to that, there is also an overall scaled score and percentile mentioned over the result. Based on this overall scaled score and percentile the toppers are decided.

Also, it contains the candidate’s Name, contact details, address, CAT registration number, PWD status, gender, date of birth, category, date and time of the test, test day and the uploaded photograph of the candidate. At the very end the section wise and overall scores are mentioned.

The selection process of IIMs is that the selected candidates have to appear in the Written Ability Test and Personal Interview (PI).
