CAT 2018 Analysis by Time Released; Know Here the Expected Cut off , Level of Slot 1 Paper

CAT 2018 Analysis By TIME

Time Institute has released its analysis of CAT 2018 slot 1 question paper. CAT 2018 question paper for Slot 1 student is full of surprises. As per the TIME, the VARC section is Moderate, DILR section is difficult, and the Quantitative Ability section is at the Moderate level. Some changes across the various sections came as compare to last year CAT paper. The quant section questions are quite lengthy makes the students quite disappointed. But at the same time, easy questions from VARC makes students on another side quite satisfied with their performance. Students realize that the practice of the questions helps a lot for an exam.

As per the overall analysis by interacting or interviewing the students appeared for CAT 2018, the VARC section is the easiest section of CAT 2018 slot 1 question paper. While on the other hand, the quant section finds the most difficult as well as the lengthy section. What about the LRDI section? Is the section follows its last trend of the difficulty? So, according to the reviews from the various students as well as analyzing the reviews of the most reputed institute i.e TIME

IIM Calcutta has followed the same pattern as that of the last year CAT 2017. CAT 2018 also consists of three sections– VARC of total 34 questions, LRDI of total 32 questions and Quant of total 34 questions. Out of the total, VARC section consists of 7 Non MCQ questions, While DILR and Quant section consists of total 8 and 12 Non- MCQ questions respectively. This is the overall design of the question paper of Slot 1 of CAT 2018. Soon the analysis of Slot 2 will be available.

Now, if we talk about the change in the paper then a major change in CAT 2018. VARC section has come up with a major change. The RC section consists of total 4 passages with five questions in each section and 1 passage with five questions each. So, instead of 6 passages, there are total 5 passages in CAT 2018 paper.

The institute has also come up with the expected cut off by analyzing the difficulty level of question paper and the students mixed reaction. According to it the percentile will rais to 97.5 to 99.
