To apply for the university entrance exam 2021, candidates must follow a two-step registration process, irrespective of whether they are applying for PG or UG programmes. The first step of registration includes CAP ID creation. Candidates must create a CAP ID using the “New User (Create CAP ID) Link” on the official website cuonline.ac.in.
Aspirants are required to enter basic candidate information on the registration page. After entering all the required details, candidates shall receive their CAP ID and password on their registered mobile number. Using these credentials, candidates must login to the official website to complete the second step.
The next step of the registration process is to fill the application form and pay the registration fee. They are advised to carefully select the category while filling in all the registration details. The reason being doing the same is that the category decides the registration fee. After filling the registration form, candidates have to click on the “Finalise & Proceed to Payment” option.
To apply for UG Programmes, General category candidates have to pay Rs. 370 whereas SC, ST category candidates must pay Rs.160. To apply for any additional course, all aspirants have to pay Rs. 55. The same registration fee structure is applicable for PG programmes. Candidates applying for M.Tech in Nanoscience and Technology, however, have different registration fee charges. General category candidates must pay Rs. 555 whereas SC, ST category candidates have to pay Rs. 280 as application fee.
During the payment process, candidates shall be directed to the Calicut University Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS) page. On this page, they can select their preferred mode of payment to pay the prescribed fee. Thereafter, candidates must re-login to the website and take a printout of the application form for future reference. Candidates can take a printout of their application form only after they have successfully made the payment. Their application shall be considered complete only if they have completed all the required registration steps and have an approved stamp on their photo in the printout.
All the registration formalities have to be completed on or before May 10, 2021. However, aspirants must note that they are not required to send the application form or any other documents to the concerned university.
