In the recent notification, Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Mumbai has announced the recruitment for the posts of Project Engineers. Eligible and intending candidates can submit the online applications to fill up 60 vacant posts. The last date to apply for CDAC recruitment is November 15, 2020. The post of Project Engineer is announced for Database Engineer, Test Engineer, DevOps IT Engineer-I, DevOps IT Engineer-II, Disaster Recovery Engineer, Database Specialist, Software Design & Development, Techno-Functional and others. All these posts are announced purely on contractual basis for various projects. Out of the total 60 announced vacancies, 09 are reserved for SC, 04 for ST, 16 for OBC, 06 for EWS and 25 for Unreserved.
Before aspirants start submitting the application, they are advised to read the eligibility criteria first. Candidates who possess BE/ B.Tech/ MCA or Master degree can apply for Project engineer posts. Candidates must have minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field to apply for Database Engineer, DevOps IT Engineer-II. Those who have 1-3 years of experience in relevant fields can submit their applications for Test Engineer, DevOps IT Engineer-I, Disaster Recovery Engineer. Applicants with 1-2 years experience are eligible for Project Engineer post. Minimum 2-3 years experience is necessary for Techno Functional, Software Design & Development, Database Specialist.
While applying, the candidate’s age should not exceed the upper age limit as specified by C-DAC. Their age should not exceed the upper age limit of 32 years for Database Engineer, DevOps IT Engineer-II, Database Specialist, Software Design & Development and Techno-Functional posts. The upper age limit for the rest of the posts is 30 years.
Candidates can submit their applications for various advertised posts through cdac.in. Before applying, they should have an email address, mobile number, photograph, payment cards. Payment of non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- should also be done while applying. The CDAC application fee can be paid using debit card/credit card. However, SC/ ST/ PWD/ EWS/ Female category candidates are exempted from the fee payment. On successful submission of fee, candidates must note down the application number for future reference.
Shortlisting of candidates is based on the screening of candidate’s academic records followed by a written exam and interview. As per the notification, the written exam is scheduled to be conducted only if a large number of candidates apply for this recruitment. The final merit list will also be prepared based on the candidate’s academic and experience qualification, written test/ skill test/ interview.
