Bihar Public Service Commission has recently released an official notification with Advt no. 50/2020 advertising the post of Associate Professor Mechanical Engineering. As per the official notification, the conducting body has announced the recruitment for 111 vacant posts. The online registration for the said post starts from Septemebr 09, 2020 and will be conducted till September 28, 2020. The last date to submit the online application form is October 05, 2020. Canddiates can download the notification from the BPSC website, bpsc.bih.nic.in.
The post of Associate Professor is announced in the Mechanical Engineering department. Canddiates who are recruited as Associate Professor have to serve under Govt. Engineering Colleges under Science & Technology Dept., Govt. of Bihar. They receive a monthly salary of Rs. 1,31,400/- of pay scale 13 A1.
To apply for the said posts, candidates must have a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering and first-class or equivalent at either bachelor’s degree or Masters degree in mechanical engineering. They should have published at least 06 research publications in SCI journals/ UGC/ AICTE approved list of journals. Canddiates who have a minimum of 08 years of experience in teaching/ industry/ research can also apply for Associate Professor post. Out of these 08 years, they should have worked 02 years after obtaining a PhD degree.
Moreover, candidates have to ensure that they meet the age limit as prescribed by the conducting body. Candidate’s age should not be more than that of 30 years as on August 01, 2020. Also, there is no upper age limit suggested for the post of Associate Professor.
BPSC organizes the application procedure through the official website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. Aspirants have to register themselves and then proceed to submit the application form. Once done with the online procedure, the hard copy of the application and document should also be submitted. Applicants have to send the form and documents to “Joint Secretary Exam Controller, Bihar Public Service Commission, 15, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg (Beli Road), Patna 800001”. The last date to submit the form through speed post is October 19, 2020.
The selection procedure for BPSC Associate Professor Mechanical Engineering includes three stages. The first stage of the scrutiny of the academic background of the candidates. This stage is organized for 20 marks where the eligibility of the applicants is verified. Qualifying first stage, the applicant is called for the second stage which is evaluation of the candidate’s knowledge and teaching skill (60 marks). The last stage is the interview round or viva-voce. BPSC conducts this stage for 20 marks. Candidates have to carry certain documents as suggested in the notification.
