Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) is going to hold the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (Assam TET) on October 20, 2019. Candidates who have applied for TET exam, can download their admit cards from September 30, 2019 at the official website of SSA, ssa.assam.gov.in.
In order to download the Assam TET admit cards, candidates will have to visit ssa.assam.gov.in and go to the TET advertisement 2019 page. There they have to click login link to reach the login page. In order to login, applicant will have to enter username and password. This would either open a candidate dashboard or directly download the pdf.
After that, they need to take a print out of the admit card and carry it on their exam day. The Assam TET admit card will contain details of their name, roll number, exam date, duration of the exam, exam center and exam center code, reporting time, post applied for and exam related instructions.
The examination will consist of two papers, Paper I for those who wants to be a teacher for lower primary level (classes I to V), and Paper II for those who wants to be a teacher for upper primary level (classes VI to VIII). Each question will be pf 1 marks and there is no negative marking. The medium of the question paper will be in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi and English.
Paper-1 will be of five sections carrying multiple choice questions from child development and pedagogy, language I (assamese, bengali, bodo, manipuri, garo, nepali, karbi, hmar), language II (english), mathematics, and environmental science. Total marks of the paper is 150, each section of 30 marks. Whereas the set of subjects of paper-2 include child development and pedagogy, language I, language II, mathematics and science, social studies. The respective marks for each sections are 30, 30, 30, 60, 60.
Candidates have to attempt both papers within two and a half hour (150 minutes). An additional of 20 minutes will be provided for visually impaired candidates. In order to qualify the TET, candidates will be required to score 60 % (90 marks out of 150), in case of SC, ST, OBC, MOBC, PWD, it is 55% (83 out of 150).
The examination will take place in 33 districts of Assam – Baksa, Barpeta, Bishwanath, Bongaigaon, Cachar, Charaideo, Chirang, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamprup, Karbi-Anglong, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Morigaon, Ngaon, Nalbari, Sivasagar, Sonitpur, South Salmara Mankachar, Tinsukia, Udalguri, West Krabi-Anglong.
Assam TET 2019 was notified on September 2. Yesterday was the last date to register.
Those who clear the TET exam, will be awarded with a TET certificate along with a marksheet. The mark sheet cum certificate of TET will be valid till 7 years from the date of issue of the certificate by the Empowered Committee, TET, Govt. of Assam. After qualifying in TET, he or she will get preference for
engagement as a teacher in his preferred zone.
