State Council of Technical Education, Assam, recently issued the advertisement for the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2021. The advertisement was also published on the official website dte.assam.gov.in. According to the notice, Assam PAT 2021 online registration process is scheduled to begin tomorrow, May 20, 2021. Interested candidates can apply for the admission test on the official website on or before June 30, 2021. The examination is scheduled to be conducted on July 25, 2021. Admit cards shall be issued to the registered candidates from July 16 to 20, 2021.
The admission test shall be conducted for diploma courses within and outside the state of Assam against available seats. These seats have been allotted by the Indian government and the Assam Energy Institute, Sibsagar, for the upcoming academic session 2021-22. The entrance test shall be conducted on July 25, 2021, in government-allotted centres. These centres are in Mangaldoi, Tezpur and Government Polytechnic and institutes of Assam.
Interested candidates are instructed to register online by logging in to the official website dte.assam.gov.in. thereafter, they must click on the “Online Application for PAT 2021” option and fulfil all the application formalities. The link shall be made available from May 20, 2021, to June 30, 2021.
Before filling the application form, applicants are advised to download the Assam PAT 2021 information brochure and go through the important details. In case of any queries or difficulties regarding the registration process, they are advised to visit the nearest Polytechnic or institution for assistance.
The last step of the Assam PAT 2021 registration process is paying the application fee. All candidates are required to pay Rs.500 as a registration fee along with the respective bank charges. This fee can be paid using the “State Bank Collect” feature. It allows candidates to pay their fee through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking. Aspirants can also pay the application fee via cash at any nearest SBI branch. To do so, they must generate the Cash Deposit Form from the State Bank Collect option in the final step of the registration process. Any further instructions shall be mentioned during the application process.
Assam PAT 2021 examination shall be conducted on the allotted date from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The question paper comprises multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of a total of 100 marks. The paper shall cover topics from two subjects – Mathematics and Science. For detailed information on the exam portion, candidates are advised to check the information brochure.
Candidates who qualify for the Assam PAT 2021 have to appear for the formalities of the admission process. However, those who do not have the Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) will not be permitted to seek admission even after clearing the exam. Hence, they are requested to acquire the PRC well in advance before the admission process.
