AP PECET 2018 Form Released at sche.ap.gov.in for B.P.Ed and U.G.D.P.Ed admissions

AP PECET 2018 form has been released today, on March 22, 2018, by Acharya Nagarjuna University. Form is online at sche.ap.gov.in. Application fee is Rs 650 for SC and ST candidates, and Rs 850 for others. Form can be submitted until April 21, 2018, without late fee, and until April 21, 2018, with late fee of Rs 500. Details to be filled AP PECET 2018 form include qualifying exam, hall ticket number of qualifying exam, date of birth, birth district, state, hall ticket number of SSC or equivalent exam, local status, income of family, study details, category, aadhaar card, ration card, passport size photograph, signature.

AP PECET 2018 is a state level entrance exam that leads to admission to Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (UGDPEd). Both are two year courses. For BPEd, candidate should have completed three year degree and should be at least 19 years old as on July 1, 2018. For UGDPEd, one should have completed intermediate exam and should be at least 16 years old as on July 1, 2018.

BPEd, and UGDPEd are popular programs. They are relevant for seeking out a career in physical education training, sports and business marketing, sports journalism, fitness centre, sports equipment industry, trainer or coach, sports administration, professional player, sports journalism.

In PECET, there are tests for efficiency and skills. They include 100 metres run, shotput, 800 metres run (400 metres run for women), long jump, high jump. In skills, candidates can opt for any one game among ball badminton, basketball, cricket, football, handball, hockey, kabaddi, kho kho, shuttle badminton, tennis, volleyball.

During exam, original certificates are checked. Therefore it is prudent to keep them ready from beginning. Important documents required shall be sports merit certificates, pass certificate in any one course U.G.D.P.Ed / NIS / Yoga / Sports Management / Sports Science / Sports Journalism / Olympic Education / Basic Course in Adventure Sport, NCC certificate.

Exam will be held from May 4, 2018. Date and time is conveyed via hall tickets which can be downloaded from same official website where forms are invited, sche.ap.gov.in.

Physical Education Teachers (P.E.Ts) who are in service and desirous of seeking admission into B.P.Ed.(Two years) Course or U.G.D.P.Ed.(TwoYears) Course need not appear for any EntranceTest conducted by APPECET Convener. They have to apply directly to the Director of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh through proper channel as per their notification.

The qualifying marks in the APPECET shall be 30% of the aggregate marks allotted for all the test items i.e.Physical EfficiencyTest for 400Marks and Skill Test in games for 100 Marks (Total of 500 Marks excluding incentive marks). There shall be no minimum qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
