A week after postponing the INI CET 2021 exam date following orders from the Supreme Court, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi has released the revised exam date. As per the latest schedule of events published by AIIMS, Delhi on aiimsexams.ac.in, the INI CET 2021 exam is now re-scheduled to be held on July 22, 2021. The national level entrance test is conducted for admission to PG Medical Courses.
Earlier, AIIMS, Delhi announced that the INI CET 2021 exam will be held on June 16, 2021. However, the fact that the exam date was announced with only about two weeks remaining sparked massive dissent amongst graduate doctors engaged in COVID-19 duty. As per reports, a group of 26 doctors moved to the top court alleging that conducting the exam on such short notice is a violation of the fundamental rights under provisions of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India.
Aspirants, who are graduate doctors alleged that they are engaged in COVID duties and were earlier assured that at least 01 month’s notice will be given before the exam date. However, the exam date was announced only during the last week of May 2021. The top court ruled that the decision of the AIIMS was arbitrary and directed to conduct the exam after at least one month from June 16, 2021.
Now, AIIMS, Delhi has released the new exam date of the INI CET 2021 exam. As per official notice, the exam has been re-scheduled to be held on July 22, 2021 now instead of June 16, 2021, thereby abiding with the orders issued by the top court. Choice filling for re-allotment of exam centre is now scheduled to start from 11.00 AM tomorrow i.e., June 20, 2021. The last date for choice filling is June 24, 2021 till 05.00 PM.
INI CET 2021 admit cards, which were earlier scheduled to release on June 09, 2021 will now release on July 15, 2021 as per the latest schedule. Furthermore, the last date to submit application form duly recommended and forwarded with “No Objection Certificate” for OCI/Foreign National candidates is July 22, 2021 (up to 05.00 PM). It is also the last date to upload scanned copies of Sponsored Certificates.
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi has also announced that the INI CET 2021 results will be published on July 26, 2021, once the exam is over. Earlier, the result release date was June 22, 2021. Based on merit in the INI CET 2021 exam, qualifying candidates will be able to get admission in PG Medical courses including MS, MD, M.Ch, DM and others.
