The Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the much-awaited AFCAT 1 2022 application form today, December 1, 2021. Registration for AFCAT 01/2022 exam will remain activated for a month from December 01, 2021. The commission has invited applications for flying and ground duty (technical and non-technical branches) for courses commencing in January 2023. The training will begin in the first week of January 2023 and will take place at Air Force Academy Dundigal (Hyderabad). It is mandatory for the candidates opting for Ground Duty (Technical) branch to appear in both AFCAT as well as Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).
# Important Dates
The last date to apply for this examination is December 30, 2021. Eligible candidates can now apply online at careerindianairforce.cdac.in. The exam schedule for AFCAT 01/2022 examination has been released on the official website of AFCAT, at afcat.cdac.in. The exams will be conducted for three days on February 12, 13, and 14, 2021 respectively. Admit cards for the same will be delivered on the official website, 15 days prior to the exam
# Eligibility
The foremost eligibility criteria to apply for AFCAT 2022 exam is that the candidates should be a resident of India. Also, they should meet the age prerequisites as laid down on the notification. Candidates applying for the flying branch must be of 20 to 24 years as of January 01, 2023. Candidates who hold a valid and active commercial pilot license issued by DGCA, India will get a relaxation up to 26 years. Likewise, candidates interested in Ground duty (technical and non-technical), must be between 20 to 26 years of age as of January 01, 2023. All applicants must be physically fit when they go through the tests at AFSB.

Step 1: Visit the official website of IAF AFCAT at afcat.cdac.in
Step 2: Scroll down and visit the news section of the home page. Click on the AFCAT registration link.
Step 3: New applicants must register themselves first. Submit all the required details and enter an active email id/ phone number. Sign up once done.
Step 4: Login using the registered email id and password. For password reset click on ‘forgot password ?’. Check email for updated password.
Step 5: Once logged in, proceed with the application process. Fill in all personal and academic details carefully. Upload required documents in the specified size and format.
Step 6: Submit the form and pay the application fee. Download and save the application form for future reference
Candidates are advised to preserve the application and the fee receipt. It would come in handy while downloading the admit cards.
# Application Fee
Candidates registering for AFCAT will have to pay ₹250/- as an examination fee. This fee is non-refundable and not applicable for NCC special entry. All the payments must be fulfilled via online mediums only. No cash/ cheque/ demand draft (DD) will be accepted towards payment of the examination fee. The examination fee can be paid using Credit/ Debit Cards/ Net Banking through the payment gateway.
