Vellore Institute Of Technology (VIT), ranked No. 16 in engineering category in NIRF ranking this year, is going to conduct its entrance exam known as VITEEE in the second or third week of April 2019. The VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE) is conducted for admission in 36 undergraduate Engineering programmes. The VITEEE 2019 Registration is starting from November 01, 2018.
The application forms from all the interested candidates from all over the nation is invited in online mode or in offline mode. More than 2 lakh candidates apply for VITEEE every year. VIT conducts the entrance exam in online mode only and across more than 100 exam centers. Candidates have to appear for the entrance exam for admission. The exam will be of 2 Hours and 30 minutes duration with questions from Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/Biology.
VITEEE 2019 will have a total of 125 question. 40 question will be asked from each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and 5 questions will be from English language. Marks per question is 1 and there is no negative marking.
All candidates who are appearing or have appeared in 10+2 level exam and whose date of birth falls on or after July 01, 1997 are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2019. In addition to that an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology is mandatory in the 10+2 qualifying exam. However for SC/ST candidates the aggregate marks is relaxed by 10%.
No other mode of admission is accepted by the VIT University. VITEEE is the only gateway for admission in UG engineering courses at VIT University with campuses at Bhopal, AP, Chennai and Vellore.
Candidates have to register online at vit.ac.in and fill the application form. The application fee for which is Rs. 1200/-. The application forms will be available in the offline mode too at various post offices across the nation. To register candidates have to enter their email id, mobile number, name and nationality. On registration candidates will receive Username and Password in their registered mobile number and email id. Using the username and password candidates have to login and fill the application form.
Candidates have to also upload scanned copy of their recent coloured passport sized image and signature. On successful completion of the application process, candidates have to book their own exam slot. The slot booking process will be done in the online mode only where the candidates have to select their own exam centre, city and exam time. The VITEEE 2019 exam will be conducted in 3 shifts 09.00 am to 11.30 am, 12.30 pm to 03.00 pm, and 04.00 pm to 06.30 pm, out of which candidates can select their preferred shift.
The VITEEE 2019 Slot Booking will be in first come first serve basis. Thus if a slot is filled once will nit be available for booking. Thus, candidates must book their slots as soon as possible to get the slot of their choice.
