In the latest news about UPSEE 2018, it has been reported that about 1.7 lakh candidates have registered for the Uttar Pradesh State Engineering Entrance Examination 2018. The registration window for UPSEE 2018 has been closed on March 30, 2018.
Out of the 1.7 lakh registered candidates, 1.5 lakh students did not submitted the application fee. Such students were given a chance till April 01, 2018 (05:30 PM). Out of the total registration, 11 lakh students have applied for Engineering course as against 1.20 lakh last year.In UG Courses, 1.4 lakh candidates have paid the fee, while in the PG courses, 11,543 have completed the form. In 2016, the total registrations were around 1.5 lakh.
AKTU or as it is formerly known as UPTU will be conducting the entrance test on April 29, 2018, for B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Pharma courses. While for other courses such as BHMCT / BFAD/BFA/ MBA(Integrated), Diploma Holders in Engineering, Pharmacy, and B.Sc will be held on May 05, 2018. For courses such as MBA, MCA and Lateral Entry in MCA will be held on May 06, 2018.
As per the newspaper reports, last year, a total of 138000 candidates qualified the entrance exam. Out of which, 94.965 candidates qualified for B.Tech courses. 6639 candidates qualified in B.Tech (Diploma), 9973 and 196 candidates qualified for B.Pharma and Diploma in B.Pharma. The figure of the qualifiers for B.Arch course went up to 4711. Moreover, for courses, BFA, BFAD, BHMCT, Bio-Tech, MBA, MCA, and MCA (Lateral Entry) the number of qualifiers were 208, 255, 424, 7397, 8543, and 2971 respectively.
Now that the registration process is over, the exam conducting authority will soon release the admit card for the entrance examination, The UPSEE 2018 Admit Card will be available for download on April 20, 2018 from 11:00 AM onwards, To download it, the candidate need to enter details such as Application Number and Password.
The admit card for UPSEE 2018 will consist of the basic details such as exam date, timings, the address of the exam centre, etc. After downloading the admit card ensure that the details given in it is correct or not, If there are any corrections which need to be done in the admit card, contact the AKTU authorities immediately regarding this.
One concern about the students is that the date for UPSEE 2018 and NATA 2018 is being conducted on the same day, i.e., on April 29, 2018. Since both, the authorities have not yet made any changes in the exam date for B.Arch course, seems to be the students have to make a choice between one of these exams.
The UPSEE 2018 is being held in both Online and Offline mode, however, for some papers only. For Paper 01 to 04 are OMR based Tests, while, Paper 05-11, are Computer-based tests. The paper will consist of MCQ questions. There is no negative marking, however, a record of incorrect answers given by a candidate will be kept separately. For every correct answer, 04 marks will be awarded, The students should study for the entrance exam as per the prescribed syllabus only and solve previous year question papers as much as you can.
100% seats for all the courses in Government/ Government Aided/ Govt. Self Financed Institutes will be filled on the basis of candidate’s performance in UPSEE 2018. While in private colleges 85% seats in all the courses will be filled by UPSEE-2018 qualified candidates.
On the basis of the candidate’s performance in UPSEE 2018, a separate merit list will be prepared for each course. It will consist of details such as Merit position, score-card with total marks and marks obtained in each subject. The merit list will be published online at the official website of UPSEE, after the declaration of UPSEE 2018 Result.
