West Bengal Madrasah Service Commission has advertised 216 openings for the posts of Superintendent, Headmaster/Headmistress in non-Government aided Madrasahs. The recruitment is being carried out through the 7th State Level Selection Test. A detailed advertisement is available in this regard at the Commission’s website i.e. wbmsc.com. Eligible and intending candidates can apply for a single category through the aforementioned website. The last date to apply online is September 30, 2020. Candidates must also send hard copies of the application form and supporting documents on or before October 10, 2020.
The detailed vacancy bifurcation is available in a separate notice published by the Commission at the website. As per the notice, 52 vacancies are available in all for the post of Superintendent. For the post of Headmaster/Headmistress, there are 121 total vacancies available in High Madrasah and 43 total vacancies are available in Junior Madrasah. The available vacancies will be filled up through the 7th State Level Selection Test. Intending candidates are encouraged to refer to the official notification for the complete post details.
One must note that the minimum eligibility criteria must be fulfilled before applying for the recruitment. Indian citizens who are approved teachers of recognized Madrasahs/schools can apply given they have the necessary qualifications and experience. To apply for the post of Headmaster/Headmistress, candidates must have a Post Graduate degree from a recognized University. In addition, candidates must also have achieved minimum specified marks in qualifying degree. In addition, 10 years of minimum experience is required for High Madrasah while 5 years of minimum experience is required for Junior Madrasah.
Candidates intending to apply for the post of Superintendent in Senior Madrasah must have held MM up to 1997 from West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education as well as a Master’s degree in any discipline. In addition, specified minimum qualifying marks in qualifying examinations and 10 years of minimum teaching experience is essential for the post. The age of the applicants for all the advertised posts must not be more than 55 years. Selection of eligible applicants is to be done through a written test followed by Personality Test and Counselling. It must be noted that Male candidates have to choose Boys or Co-education Madrasah for appointment and female candidates have to select Girls or Co-Education Madrasah for an appointment during Counselling of qualifying candidates. Applicants have to deposit a fee of Rs 2500 in addition to applicable charges in order to apply for the recruitment. PWD candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 500 in addition to applicable charges.
