West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has released the WB ANM GNM 2022 syllabus and exam pattern, on wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates aspiring to appear for WB ANM (Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery) GNM (General Nursing Midwifery) 2022, can check out the notice released and prepare accordingly. According to the WB ANM GNM 2022 exam pattern, 100 questions shall be asked from six sections Life Science, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Physical Science. There are two categories: Category 1 will have 1-mark questions, whereas Category 2 will have 2-marks questions. The nature of questions will be objective and the paper is going to be bilingual i.e. English and Bengali. Candidates will get 1.30 hours to complete the WB ANM GNM 2022 examination.
The notice also mentions that the level of questions in Life Science, Physical Science, and Mathematics will be of class 10th level. Similarly, the level of questions in English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning is going to be equivalent to class 12th level. The commission has also released a separate marking scheme for both categories. For each correct answer in category 1, 1 mark will be awarded whereas for category 2, the candidate will get 2 marks, as mentioned earlier.
For questions in category 1, the negative marking applicable is 0.25 marks and for category 2, there is a separate regulation. If candidates mark a combination of more than one correct answer, then a negative marking of 0.25 mark is going to be applicable. If they mark partially correct answers i.e. if all correct options are not marked and also no incorrect options are marked, a fraction of the total marks based on a formula mentioned in the notice will be awarded. In addition to that, the merit list for WBJEE ANM GNM will be prepared separately on the basis of the marks scored in the written examination.
As per the previous year’s brochure, candidates who successfully qualify for the written examination will be called for the counseling process. The council also releases a seat matrix before commencing the counseling round. Candidates need to first register themselves after this, a merit list will be released and subsequently, candidates will be called to appear in the same. The final admission shall be subjected to the course opted by the candidate, his overall rank, and seats available with the preferred college.
