VITEEE 2018 Counselling Dates Announced by VIT University; Starts on 9 May

The VITEEE 2018 Counselling dates have been announced by the VIT University. The VIT University will conduct counselling in two phases, Phase – 1  and Phase – 2. Through this counselling the candidates will get admissions to various colleges. The University will take the candidates documents such as their mar sheets and certificates of the qualifying institutes shall be taken into consideration.

The candidates were waiting for the counselling for a long time and now the Vellore Institute of Technology shall begin the counselling from 9th of May 2018. The candidates are excited to know the list of colleges they can opt for. However, it must be clear to the candidates that they will be given admission only on the basis of the VITEEE 2018 examination result i.e on the basis of the VITEEE 2018 Rank.

In Phase 1 of Counselling, scheduled from 9th – 11th May 2018, the candidates have to deposit the counselling fee via a demand draft of Rs 50,000 drawn in the favor of Vellore Institute of Technology payable at Vellore. The candidates whose rank come anywhere in between 1-20,000 will be invited for the counselling at Vellore Institute – Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amravati Campuses.

The rest of the fee will have to be deposited in the Phase -2 of the counselling. This amount includes Rs 10,000 + 18% GST charged towards counselling and processing fee of Rs 11,800.

In Phase – 2 of counselling, scheduled from 14th May 2018 to 18th May 2018. The candidates will be requireed to pay the rest of the fee Rs. 3,00,000 in the favor of Vellore Institute of Technology payable at any of the Vellore institutes Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and Amravati campuses. The rank 20,000 – 99,999 will be called for counselling in this phase.

The candidates must be very careful while attending the counselling and following the rules there as they shall be allowed to attend the counselling only once. They shall have to bring the required documents properly and the photocopies of the same must be available with the candidate on the counselling date.

All the other candidates who will have their ranks in between 1,00,000 – 1,50,000 will have to visit the Vellore Institute of Technology, Bhopal campus on 19th and 20th May 2018

Candidates must note that the counselling fee amount and the processing fee amount paid by him is non-refundable and has to be paid only through the demand draft made in the name of Vellore Institute of Technology only. Once the candidate has paid the counselling fee in Phase 1 of Counselling, he will have to deposit the rest of the amount before 8th June 2018.

The Vellore Institute of Technology shal not l be held responsible for not providing the information to the candidates as they will be provided with all the updates on the official website of VIT. It is the sole responsibility of the candidates to keep checking the website of the Vellore Institute Of Technolgy to stay updated

On the off chance that the candidate is unavailable on the day of counselling, his admission will be considered canceled. However, if he informs to the VIT in advance and takes permission to attend the counselling on some other day, he may be considered as an exception. The mother and father of the candidate can also be present on the counselling day if it is physically impossible for the candidate to attend the counselling himself.  However, it must be noted that the candidate will only be able to choose the institute available on that day and not the ones filled on the counselling day decided by Vellore Institute of Technology.

The candidates can select whichever counselling venue as according to the convenience. However, no request for change of branch or institute shall be entertained by the counselling board after the procedure.

Do not forget to bring your e-admit card and a copy of Aadhar card on the counselling day to be eligible to attend the counselling.
