Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Sachivalaya (Legislative Assembly) has advertised 87 vacancies for multiple posts at the official website uplegisassemblyrecruitment.in. Online applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill up the vacancies for posts such as Editor, Review Officer etc. The online application process has commenced on December 08, 2020. Eligible and intending candidates can register to apply online and pay the application fee at the aforementioned website till January 07, 2021.
As per the official notification advertised online at the official website of UP Legislative Assembly, the vacancies are bifurcated across the available posts. The highest number of vacancies are available for the post of Assistant Review Officer i.e. 53. Other vacancies are for posts such as Editor (01), Counter Report (04), Scrutiny (Review) Officer (13), Additional Private Secretary (02), Admin (01), Research & Reference Assistant (01), Indexer (01), Security Assistant (Male) (10) and Security Assistant (Female) (01).
UP Legislative Assembly has specified some minimum educational qualifications and other eligibility conditions to apply for recruitment to each of the advertised posts. For example, candidates holding a Post Graduate qualification in a relevant field are eligible to apply for the posts of Editor and Research & Reference Assistant. Those who have passed Class 12 and possess knowledge of shorthand are eligible to apply for the post of Counter Report. Candidates having a Graduate degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for the posts of Review Officer, Additional Private Secretary and Assistant Review Officer. Knowledge of typing is necessary to apply for the post of Assistant Review Officer.
Likewise, candidates holding a Graduate degree in relevant disciplines are eligible to apply for the post of Admin. Those who have a Diploma or Graduation qualification can apply for the post of Indexer. For the posts of Security Assistant (Male & Female), candidates who have passed Class 12 exam are eligible to apply. As per the notification, in general, candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old in order to apply. However, relaxations on the upper age limit are applicable as per government norms in vogue. Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done on the basis of two stage examination i.e. Preliminary exam and Main stage exam. Only those who qualify the prelims will be eligible to apply for the Main stage exam.

The entire process is conducted on the official website only and no other form of application is accepted. Unreserved candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 950 in order to apply. For SC/ST candidates the application fee is Rs 850 while PwD candidates have to pay only Rs 50 as application fee.
