The Staff Selection Commission(SSC) will release the Combined Higher Secondary Level(CHSL) recruitment notification on its official website today on February 1, 2022. The interested candidates should keep an eye on the official website of SSC ssc.nic.in to get regular updates on the same.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had earlier released the tentative calendar notifying the important dates regarding the CHSL examination. The last date for registering for the examination is mentioned as March 7, 2022. However, other important details like the last date of fee payment and release of admit card has not been confirmed yet. It is expected that the Tier 1 examination will be conducted in the month of May.
SSC CHSL 2022 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed Class 12 or are between the age of 18-27 can apply for the examination. Certain relaxations regarding the upper age limit are prevalent in accordance with the category one belongs to. You can check the notification to get more clarity about this relaxation of age limit. Candidates must register in the SSC portal first and then proceed with the application.
SSC CHSL 2022 – Selection Process
The exam is conducted in three phases namely Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. As of now, only the tentative date of Tier 1 examination has been announced. Tier 1 is most likely to be a computer based objective type exam like previous years where questions mostly come from current affairs, logical ability, data interpretation, quantitative aptitude and English language. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 for each wrong answer in this section. Candidates who pass Tier 1 will be eligible to appear in the Tier 2 examination which is an exam where you will be asked to write descriptive essays and letters. Candidates must score the minimum qualifying marks of 33 percent to be eligible to appear for the screening test that follows. The Tier 3 exam is a skill assessment or typing test where your ability for the various posts will be tested. Candidates must prepare thoroughly with reference to the official syllabus as the exam is very competitive in nature.
The Combined Higher Secondary Level(CHSL) is conducted every year by SSC to recruit candidates to the posts of Data Entry operator, Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant and Sorting Assistant. Every year lakhs of candidates appear for the examination as it requires only minimum qualification to apply for the same.
