Indian Railway has released corrigendum No. 11, E-Tender No. RRBCHENNAI – CEN 01-2019-ECA. The corrigendum provides insights into conducting of RRB NTPC recruitment exam. As per it, Indian Railway is engaging exam conducting agency and has invited tenders. In total, the budget to the conduct CBT all over India is Rs. 375,93,87,240. Earlier, it was 3.22 crore.
Several other amendments have been made in the original tender for the ECA via the corrigendums. RRB plans to hold the CBT 1 exam from December 15, 2020 onwards. The application status of RRB NTPC recruitment will be available from September 21 to 30, 2020, on the respective websites of the RRBs. Thus, it can be expected that the finalization of the ECA will be done soon.
The ECA is an agency that will be selected and will have to conduct multiple stages of computer based test, computer based aptitude / typing skill test, document verification, and all other related services for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment.
Apart from the revision of allocated funds, railways have also uploaded responses to Pre-bid queries in terms of Para 1.7 of the Tender Document. There has also been modification / addition in Tender conditions concerning E-Tender No. RRBCHENNAI-CEN01-2019-ECA dated 02.03.2020.
Also a new para 4.5 on Guidelines for the conduct of computer based tests (CBTs) in COVID-19 scenario has also been also added.
Lastly, a new item is included in the modified para 7.8 for financial bids.
It has also been notified that the other terms and conditions of the tender will remain the same. The candidates of the tender can logon to ireps.gov.in for these updates as well as any further revision in dates, updates, etc.

All candidates who will be provisionally declared eligible for the recruitment after the application status declaration will be allotted exam date, time, and city, 8 days before the exam. Along these line, the admit card / call letter will be issued to the applicants 4 days before the exam which is to be carried to the exam centers to gain entry for the CBT 1 exam.
The CBT 1 qualified candidates have to further appear for the CBT 2 exam, the dates for which have not been announced yet. The number of candidates who will qualify for CBT 2 from CBT 1 will be 20 times the vacancies.
The posts under Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice, and Station Master.
