The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed the smooth execution of the CUET (PG) 2026 examination on March 12 across 289+ centers in India. Approximately 59,300 candidates appeared for this key gateway to over 185 universities’ postgraduate programs, including top institutions like Delhi University, JNU, and BHU.
Detailed shift-wise stats:
- Shift I (morning): 22,800 candidates at 289 centers
- Shift II (afternoon): 20,100 candidates at 280 centers
- Shift III (evening): 16,400 candidates at 285 centers
NTA reported no major disruptions, crediting disciplined participation, robust security, and real-time monitoring via CCTV. The exam covered 157 subjects in computer-based mode, with a focus on domain-specific knowledge for admissions to MA, MSc, MBA, and more.
This follows the registration of over 1.9 lakh candidates earlier this year. Admit cards were released on March 10, and answer keys are expected soon—check cuet.nta.nic.in for updates.
