Leading reports suggest that this year too, the government is unlikely to conduct the NRA CET 2022 examination. The government earlier said that it will implement NRA CET from the year 2022 onwards. Since its announcement, this is the second time that the exam has been delayed. However, currently, there is no concrete road map for this proposal. Last year, the ruling government has announced that it shall implement a common eligibility test for Group B non-gazetted posts in three government organizations i.e. SSC, Bank, and Railway.
NRA CET 2022 delayed yet again – Report and why?
The government also informed that it has set up a committee that will go through the syllabus and subjects in all three exams, and then decide a common structure such that nobody is adversely affected. However, even after one year of announcing this new recruitment scheme, no development can be seen at the ground level at present. The committee that was established to provide a framework to this proposal has not yet zeroed on the subjects, syllabus, or marking scheme.
While talking to a leading news daily, a DoPT officer said, “Right now we are monitoring the situation of the country, and whether to conduct the examination or not shall be decided once the government finds the situation conducive”.
IBPS Stance on Clerk 2022 Exams

With this, the board has also notified the possible exam dates for both profiles.
What is NRA CET 2022?
This proposal of NRA CET was put forth with the objective of reducing the burden of multiple entrance exams on students aspiring for a government job. As per the government, appearing in different preliminary exams for all three organizations with different exam structures puts a burden on the students financially, mentally. Hence, it was decided that a common preliminary exam shall be held for these organizations that will be conducted twice a year, The candidates can then apply for the second stage of the selection process on the basis of their NRA CET scorecard.
