This boy is from Rajasthan, India. Not only that he is now known for topping the NEET 2019 exam but to also to score 700+, first time ever by any NEET candidate. Nalin Khandelwal did his NEET 2019 preparation from Allen coaching center.
NEET 2019 Result was declared on June 05, 2019 at around 1:30 PM. Apart from Nalin Khandelwal, from Allen coaching center, 7 students have taken their place in the NEET AIR List 2019 in top 10. Bhavik Bansal secured AIR-2, Swastik Bhatia secured AIR-4, Anant Jain secured AIR-5, Sarthak Raghavendra Bhat secured AIR-6, Dhruv Kushwaha secured AIR-8, Mihir Rai secured AIR-9 while Raghav Dubey AIR-10. They all form Allen coaching center.
Now coming to how Nalin did it and his story so far.
He was confident. Even before the exam, he had this confidence of scoring a position among the top 10 candidates in NEET AIR 2019. This is what good preparation does. He says:
My parents motivated me to study. They always provided me with a positive environment.
His boards: Nalin has secured 95.8 percent in Class 12th and 92 percent in Class 10th.
NEET Score: 701/720 and his percentile score is 99.9999291.
His family: His Mother and father are doctors and elder brother is pursuing MBBS from SNMC Jodhpur. since both, his mother and father are doctors Nalin aspired to become a doctor himself from the very start.
His preparation for NEET 2019: Nalin always enjoyed studying and never studied when felt tired. He used to study till late at night but always took seven hours sleep. During his preparation, Nalin made sure to set daily targets and ensured to complete them before sleeping.
In order to complete his target, he studied up to 2 at night and did self-study for 8 hours. Nalin made a strategy to crack NEET-UG and focused on NCERT syllabus. He used to do multiple reading of a single topic and prepared notes for preparation.
Nalin says:
Apart from NEET-UG, I have also practiced JEE Mains previous year papers. Because many times JEE Main questions are repeated in NEET-UG. This helped me a lot. The faculties at his coaching center have always guided me and solved my queries.

What next for Nalin: He is now awaiting his AIIMS entrance examination result 2019 before deciding on his next step.
Summarising this year’s NEET:
This year in NEET, more girls have qualified as compared to the boys, 4.45 lakh girls qualified in comparison to 3.51 lakh boys. However, in the Top 50 candidates, boys have dominated the girls. The best-performing state was Delhi. However, many states have improved their performance this year like Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Daman and Diu. However, the state whose performance went downhill is Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Rajasthan.
Also this year, the highest number of qualifying candidates, 3.75 lakh, was from the Other Backward Classes category, while 2.8 lakh candidates qualified from the unreserved category.
The cutoff went up. Cutoff marks of NEET 2019 are 701-134 for UR, 133-107 marks for the OBC/SC/ST candidates. For the UR and PH candidates, the qualifying marks is 133-120. For the OBC & PH/SC & PH/ST & PH it is 119-107. The NEET 2019 cutoff percentile for the open category candidates is 50th percentile, for the UR-PH/SC/ST/OBC it is 40th percentile, for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH it is 45th percentile.
