As per the notification released by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad on Friday, 40,392 students have skipped the UP Board exams 2019. On the very first day, around 20,674 candidates did not sit for the board exams. UP Board has released this statistics after compiling the students’ attendance on the completion of the first two days of the exams.
The UP Board Secretary, Neena Srivastava said it is no clear that the decrement in the number of students it is due to strict measures of the board exams. In the previous year, about 10,44,619 candidates skipped the exams of UP Board last year. It was a total of 15% of students who had registered for the exams.
A Special Task Force has also been appointed to keep the copying mafia away from the exam centres. On Saturday, The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had asked all district magistrates and district inspector of schools to remain observant against copying mafia in a video conferencing.
This year, the board has also made many of the measures to avoid any kind of mishappenings. The government has also included heavy deployment of police for the exams. A huge number of Invigilation staff has been appointed. They have been instructed that unfair means are not used in the board exams.
A total number of 58,06,922 students were registered for 10th and 12th board exams. Out of the total appeared candidates around 31,95,603 students were from class 10 and 26,11,319 from 12th exams.
UP Board exams started from February 07, 2019 for class 10 and 12. The first and the last exams were Music Singing and Woodwork/ Prandhshilp/ Stitching/ Psychology/ Pedagogy/ Logical Studies. The board exams for class 10 will be finished on February 28, 2019, and the exam will be of Sanskrit. For class 12, the board will finish the exams on March 02, 2019. The last exam will be of English.
