Military Nursing Service 2022

The Indian Military Nursing Service or MNS is a post in the Indian Army. This post is specifically for the female candidates who will first have to undergo a 4-year B.Sc. Nursing course in the colleges of Nursing of Armed Forces Medical Services. After completing the course, the MNS job will be offered to them. Candidates will further have the choice between permanent service commission and short service commission.

The examination for MNS is conducted only once a year. Notification for the upcoming MNS 2022 can be expected in December 2021. The exam dates usually fall in either February or March, every year. In terms of educational qualification, the candidates must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English with 50% aggregate marks. However, candidates who are appearing for their class 12 final exams can also apply for the Indian Army B.Sc. Nursing Service examination.

The application process for the examination is completely online and will be carried out through joinindianarmy.nic.in. There are six colleges that offer around 220 seats. The number of seats may vary and candidates should crosscheck the same from the official notification as and when it is released. Moreover, the admission to the colleges will be based on merit cum choice, medical fitness, and vacancies.

The selection process will be based on a computer-based examination (CBE) totaling 150 marks. There will be three papers namely General English, General Intelligence, and Science (Biology, Physics, and Chemistry). Each paper or subject will have 50 questions and there will be no negative marking. Those candidates who will qualify for the CBE will be shortlisted for interviews and medical examinations. The interview round will comprise 100 marks.

For MNS 2021, the online application fee was Rs 750. Candidates have to pay and fill up the application form via joinindianarmy.nic.in. The admit cards for the CBE will also be released on the same website itself. It must be noted that the final selection for the Indian Army B.Sc. Nursing will be completed only with the document verification process.

With this, it is advised that interested candidates who desire to apply for MNS 2022 should start with their basic preparation. For that, they can first take a look at the syllabus that has been followed so far. After that, they can make a timetable and keep a tab of the latest events and solve examination papers.
