Medical and Health Department of Prakasam District has released a notification to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Medical Staff. The recruitment is for the posts of Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, Lab-Technician, Radiographer, Child Psychologist. Candidates are shortlisted under these posts on contractual basis. The conducting body has announced a total of 396 vacancies for the post of medical staff. Candidates can refer notification no. 03/2020 to know in detail about the available vacancies. Candidate can download the official notification from prakasam.ap.gov.in. The application process has started from July 13, 2020, onwards. Candidate can apply for the announced posts before July 22, 2020.
Shortlisted candidates as Staff Nurse receives Rs. 34,000/- monthly salary. For Lab Technician and Pharmacist, the conducting body offers Rs.28,000/- as monthly salary. Rs.49,250/- are offered to candidates selected as Child Psychologist and Rs. 30,660/- to Radiographer. While applying, candidates have to ensure that they do not exceed the upper age limit of 42 years as on July 01, 2020.
Candidates must have acquired GNM/B.Sc Nursing to apply for the post of Staff Nurse. Besides, such candidates must have registered themselves with Andhra Pradesh Nurses, Midwives Council. To apply for the post of Lab Technician Grade-II, 01 years lab technician course or 2 years DMLT course after SSC or B.Sc degree with Medical Lab Technology or B.Sc degree with BZC or PG Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry. Candidates applying for Pharmacist Grade-II must have passed 12th standard and have 02 years Diploma in Pharmacy. A CRA exam pass candidate is eligible to apply for Radiographer post. Such candidates who have B.A., B.Sc., M.Sc., MA, B.Sc.(Hons.) or B.A. (Hons.) with Physics as the main subject is preferred. Those who possess an MA (Psychology) can submit their application against the Child Psychologist post. Candidates must have registered themselves with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Board/Council to apply for any of the announced posts.
The application process for medical staff recruitment is going on. Eligible candidates can submit their forms through an offline process. The form along with the checklist of the required documents should reach the board before the last date. The form should be sent to the O/o. District Medical & Health Officer, Prakasam Bhavan, Prakasam District, Ongole. After the application process is over, the conducting body commences the verification of application. The scrutiny of application begins from July 23, 2020, to July 31, 2020. The documents that candidates have submitted should be produced for verification.
Shortlisting of candidates is purely based on the merit. Out of the 100 marks, 75% marks are allotted to the aggregate marks secured in all the years of the qualifying exam. Up to 15% of marks are allotted to the work experience in Government service. The remaining 10% marks are for the number of years since passing the qualifying exam. The final merit list is expected to release on August 08, 2020. The appointment order to the shortlisted candidates is issued from August 10, 2020.
