Lucknow University is likely to begin the undergraduate admission process on March 09, 2021 for the academic year 2021-22. The admission process shall take place through the online mode on the official website i.e., lkouniv.ac.in. After undergraduate courses, admissions for other courses shall begin in a systematic manner. Lucknow University, for the first time, has given the Dean Admission the responsibility to overlook the admission process. Professor VK Sharma who is a member of the university’s Chemistry Department has been appointed as the Dean Admission.
Media reports suggest that the first meeting pertaining to the university admission process was held on February 16, 2021 within the university premises. Dean Admission along with other important team members attended the meeting to discuss the undergraduate admissions. These other appointed members include Prof Anood Kumar Bhatiya from the social work department, Prof Anitya Gaurav from the Ancient History Department and an assistant professor, Sanjay Medhavi.
The members collectively decided a meeting agenda to be followed before commencement of undergraduate admissions. According to the agenda, the committee were to first gather information about the number of courses as well as seats offered in each course/department. Priority was to be given to the completion of Ph.D admissions of the previous academic year. Furthermore, all departments shall be asked to provide the corresponding seat status on priority.
Following the meeting held on February 16, 2021, Lucknow University is likely to begin the undergraduate admissions from March 09, 2021. These admissions, for the upcoming academic year 2021-22, shall be organised through the online mode. Furthermore, it is also expected that admissions for other courses shall begin soon after completion of undergraduate admissions. All this shall be done in a systematic manner to avoid any chaos or clutter.
The admission committee appointed by the university also has the responsibility of chalking out a detailed plan for the upcoming admissions. This plan shall be a draft of the admission procedure to be followed for the 2021-22 academic year. This year, the university is also aiming at increasing the number of seats/intakes in comparison to last year.
The 2021-22 undergraduate admission process shall take place on the official website of Lucknow University i.e., lkouniv.ac.in. The university shall offer a plethora of courses to choose from including B.A, B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, etc. All these courses are offered as full-fledged academic opportunities, lasting for 3-4 years depending on the course requirements.
