The language papers for Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) 2021 examinations are going to be held on July 20, 2021. The language examinations will be held for Kannada, English, Hindi, and Sanskrit. The timings are from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. The candidates are advised to visit the official website sslc.karnataka.gov.in for the revised timetable of Karnataka SSLC 2021 examination.

The SSLC examination is conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB). This examination is held annually for Class X students. Amid the prevailing Covid 19 conditions, Karnataka SSLC 2021 is being held with approximately 8.8 lacs registered candidates. This year, the SSLC examinations have been reduced to three days. The candidates will have to appear for three papers in a single day. The normal schedule of this examination is for six days. This change in schedule was decided by KSEEB in the light of Covid 19 concerns.

The concerns of Covid 19 have made the KSEEB undertake many safety measures to mitigate the risk of the disease. The number of examination centres has been increased along with the teachers who will be invigilating. As per sources, 1.19 lacs staff will be doing duty in 73,064 examination centres spread over 4,885 centres.

The social distancing protocol is going to be maintained at the examination centres. In an examination room, a maximum of twelve candidates will be allowed. Each candidate will be sitting singly on each bench. For candidates who are Covid 19 positive, examinations will be held at Covid Care Centres located in their home districts. The KSEEB has also ensured that officiating staff has received at least one dose of vaccination.

The Karnataka SSLC 2021 examination will be in written form. The same is conducted over two days. The format of the examination will be MCQ. Each paper will have a maximum of 120 marks. In the language examination, there will be forty MCQ for each of the languages. The candidates will be required to mark on Optical Mark Reading  (OMR) sheets to answer the questions.
