The Indraprastha University will start the registration process for the Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) today at ipu.ac.in. Candidates can apply for various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs at IPU by paying Rs.1200 as application fee. The selection will be made based on candidate’s merit in the IPU CET. Interested candidates can apply till April 30, 2022. The exam is expected to be conducted in the month of May/ June.
IPU CET eligibility criteria
- UG courses- Candidates must have secured minimum 55% marks in Class 12 public exams in the 10+2 stream, with English as a subject.
- PG courses- candidates must secure a minimum of 55% mark in their Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Candidates who are appearing for their final exams (Class 12/ UG final semester) can also apply.

Steps to apply for IPU CET 2022
Step 1: First, go to the website ipu.ac.in.
Step 2: Under ‘Admissions 2022-23’, click on the ‘Apply Online’ link.
Step 3: Click on ‘Registration 2022’, when you are redirected to another website.
Step 4: Next, click on ‘New Candidate Registration’ option.
Step 5: Then, enter your basic details, choose username, set your password and sign up.
Step 6: Next, go to the ‘Registered Candidates Sign In’ and login using username and password.
Step 7: Fill up the communication details, educational qualifications and other details.
Step 8: Lastly, upload the mandatory documents and complete the payment of application fee.
Candidates should be ready with their class 10 and 12 mark sheets, ID proof, scanned copy of photograph and signature; and left-thumb impression before beginning the application process. Ensure that the scanned documents are in JPG format and the mark sheets in PDF format.
IPU CET 2022 exam pattern
The exam is conducted as a computer based test, for a duration of 2.5 hours. The questions are of objective type with each question carrying 4 marks and a negative mark of 1. There are a total of 100 questions in the IPU CET exam. The syllabus for UG courses is based on the class 11 and 12 text books.
