In its recent notification, Indian Institute of Technology Jammu has announced the recruitment process for Senior Project Officer and Project Officer (Architecture). IIT, Jammu has advertised 01 vacancies for Senior Project Officer and Project Officer (Architecture) each. The recruitment to the announced is on a contractual basis only. Candidates who are selected under the Project Officer (Architecture) and Senior Project Officer are on a contractual period of 01 years. They are recruited under the Office of Infrastructure Planning and Management. However, their service period may get extended based up to 03 years on the yearly performance evaluation. Project Officer (architecture) gets monthly salary Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 65,000/- per month and Senior Project Officer gets Rs. 85,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/- per month.
Candidates who have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline can apply for the Senior Project Officer. They must have served Indian Army/Indian Air Force/ Indian Navy/ any other similar organization and have a background in logistics of campus, security management, fire fighting housekeeping, water management, event management and similar contracts. To apply for Project Officer (Architecture), candidates must have bachelors in Architecture with a minimum of 05 years of work experience in architectural activities. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Architecture and 03 years of work experience are also eligible for Project Officer (Architecture). They should be registered with the Council of Architect, India before applying.
The age limit, as per the notification, is calculated as on the last date of application submission. Applicants who are not older than 35 years are eligible for Project Officer (Architecture). Candidates whose upper age does not exceed that of 67 years are eligible for Senior Project Officer post.

For registration, candidates are required to submit their name and valid email address. No application fee is charged for IIT Jammu recruitment.
Shortlisted candidates are invited for the personal interview/ interaction round. Aspirants who meet the prescribed educational and other qualifications are invited for the interview. They have to carry all the original documents in support of their eligibility for verification in the interview/ interaction.
