International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is going to conduct the Under Graduate Entrance Examination (UGEE) 2021 on June 2, 2021. The registration process for the engineering entrance exam began on March 22, 2021. Interested candidates can apply for the exam on the official website ugadmissions.iiit.ac.in only if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidates who qualify for this examination can seek admission to dual degree programmes of 5 years. After completing the course, candidates earn two degrees i.e Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) and Master of Science (MS).
UGEE 2021 entrance examination is scheduled for June 02, 2021. Authorities began the registration process for the same on March 22, 2021. Candidates can apply for the engineering entrance exam on the official website ugadmissions.iiit.ac.in. To do so, they must click on the UGEE option present on the homepage of the website. This will open a page containing all the information pertaining to the entrance exam.
The page contains information about UGEE 2021 underneath different sub-headings. Candidates have to click on the “Application Portal is open” option underneath the “What do I need to do to apply?” section. Aspirants who have already registered on the website can directly enter their User ID and password. However, those who haven’t registered must click on the “New users click here to register” option available.
UGEE 2021 registration form shall open in which candidates have to enter their personal details, father’s details, mother’s details, siblings’ details, address and login details. Candidates must carefully enter their email ID and mobile number as these shall be used to maintain all future communication and correspondence. Once all these details are filled in, candidates can click on the ‘Save and Proceed’ option to finish all the remaining registration formalities.
Once, the candidates have registered on the website, they must fill the online application form within the deadline announced by authorities to appear for the examination. Authorities have also specified the UGEE 2021 application fee. All candidates have to pay Rs. 2000 as application fee which is non-refundable.
IIIT-Hyderabad has also specified the eligibility criteria which the candidates must fulfil to apply for the examination. According to the criteria, candidates must acquire an aggregate of 60 per cent in Maths, Physics and Chemistry in Class 12 board or its equivalent examination. The eligible candidates must appear for the computer-based UGEE 2021 examination scheduled on June 02, 2021.
UGEE 2021 comprises two sections for a total of 3 hours duration. The first section is the Subject Proficiency test (SUPT) for 60 minutes and the second section is the Research Aptitude test (REAP) for 120 minutes. It is mandatory for all the shortlisted candidates to appear in the interview round to seek admission. The official date for the interview round is yet to be announced by authorities.
