Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIGM) is recruiting eligible candidates for the 11 posts of Professor, Reader, Fellow, Senior Technical Assistant, Senior Hindi Translator and Driver. The conducting body has released an official notification for the IIGM recruitment on its official website, iigm.res.in. Eligible and intending candidates can submit their applications offline for IIGM recruitment. The application should reach the office before January 15, 2021.
The conducting body has advertised 01 vacancies for Professor, 03 for the reader, 02 for Fellow, 02 vacancies for Senior Technical Assistant, 01 for Senior Hindi Translator and 02 vacancies for Driver post.
IIGM Recruitment 2020 Notification
Before candidates submit their applications, we suggest them going through the eligibility criteria. To submit an application for Professor, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Physics with a minimum of 15 years of working experience. Those who wish to apply for Fellow post should have 2-3 years of research experience in modelling and interpretation and Doctorate degree. Applicants should have passed M.Sc in Physics/ Pure Maths/ Applied Maths can apply for Special Technical Assistant.
Applicants who have a Master’s degree from a recognized university can submit their applications for Senior Hindi Translator posts. To apply for the Driver post, candidates must have passed 12th class with driving experience. They should also have a valid driving license to drive a light/ Medium vehicle. Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience in driving in hilly regions. Refer to the official notification to know about the age limit criteria, age relaxation, work experience.
To apply for IIGM recruitment, candidates have to first visit the official website iigm.res.in. Download the application form for IIGM Recruitment and fill all the details asked in it. Once done, the filled-in application form should be sent to the office of the admin coordinator, IIG. Along with the form, candidates also have to submit copies of certificates – qualification (matriculation onwards), experience, Date of Birth, Caste certificate etc. Any application received after the last date as specified is not accepted. furthermore, those who wish to apply for more than a post in IIGM recruitment can apply it accordingly.
Applicants who are applying or IIGM recruitment also have to pay the application fee to submit the form. They have to make a payment of Rs. 300/- through the demand draft. The DD should be drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel. However, SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates are exempted from the fee submission process. Also, candidates applying for Senior Hindi Translator on deputation basis are also exempted from fee submission.
