Council of Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has today, April 25, 2022, successfully conducted the ICSE English Paper 1 Semester 2 examination. The paper was held for a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The exam was held at affiliated schools across the country. Unlike the Semester 1 exam which was entirely objective in nature, the Semester 2 exam comprised both objective and subjective questions. CISCE is soon, going to release the official answer key for today’s semester 2 exam.
While waiting for the ICSE Semester 2 English official answer key, students can refer to unofficial answer keys uploaded online. These have been uploaded in two formats – 1. PDF format and 2. Video-based solution on YouTube.

How to calculate ICSE English Paper 1 score?
When CISCE conducted the ICSE semester 1 exams in December 2021, students could easily calculate their score, thereafter. This was because the paper was entirely objective in nature, comprising multiple-choice questions. The situation in semester 2 is, however, different as today’s paper contained a combination of objective and subjective questions.
Although objective questions have straightforward questions, subjective questions depend on the points covered. Each such answer needs to cover the essential points invariably, fetching full marks. Furthermore, in a subject like English, the ability to form proper sentences, grammar usage, etc will also be considered.
All such points have been covered in video-based solutions uploaded by coaching institutes. Hence, while watching the ICSE Semester 2 English Answer Key video, students must jot down all the important points and judge their answers, accordingly.
ICSE Semester 2 Schedule 2022
CISCE conducted the first semester 2 examination for ICSE Class 10 students today. As per the official schedule uploaded on cisce.org, Class 10 board exams shall continue till Monday, May 23, 2022, with the last paper being Commercial Studies (Group II Elective). Tomorrow, the central education board will be conducting the English Paper 2 (Literature), at the same time, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.
