GATE Admit Card 2021 Download Begins Tomorrow – Do’s and Don’ts for hall ticket

IIT-Bombay is going to release the GATE 2021 Admit Card on December 8, 2021 only on the GOAPS portal and candidates are expected to print a copy of the hall ticket.

Indian Institute of Technology is going to release the Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) 2021 Admit card tomorrow i.e., January 08 2021. Admit card shall be available for printing on the application portal of the examination i.e., appsgate.iitb.ac.in. Candidates are requested to take a printout of the hall ticket for future use. GATE 2021 is scheduled to be conducted on February 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14, 2021 in two shifts- forenoon and afternoon shifts. With just little over a month remaining for the examination, here are the do’s and don’t for the hall ticket that must be followed by all candidates.

The GATE 2021 Admit card shall only be available on the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website. Candidates must note that the admit card can only be availed online through the specified website. No admit card shall be sent to the candidates via mail or post.

Candidates appearing for GATE 2021 examination must bring a print-out of their admit card on an A-4 sized paper at the venue on the examination day. Along with the hall ticket, they must also bring a valid and original photo identity proof which was specified by the candidates during the online application process. This may be Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, etc.

Photocopy, scanned copy or expired ID proof shall not be accepted by the authorities. Furthermore, candidates must not forget to bring these documents to the exam hall. If they fail to do so, they shall not be granted entry to the exam hall.

GATE 2021 Admit Card is valid only the respective candidate’s photograph and signature are legible and recent. Candidates must ensure that the photograph that they paste on the admit card and the one present in their identity proof are matching with their appearance on the exam date. If the images don’t match, authorities may not allow the candidate to appear for the examination.

Registered candidates who have successfully received their admit card must report to the GATE examination centre at the date and time mentioned in the admit card. Any requests for changing the centre, date or time of the examination in the admit card shall not be entertained. Items like mobile phones, calculators, wallets, study material, stationery material, etc are strictly prohibited. A candidate found with any of these objects shall be disqualified from the examination. Hence, students must ensure to bring only the documents specified by the authorities to prevent any unneeded circumstances.
