Finally, it has been announced officially, that GATE 2022 admit card will be released on January 15, 2022.
IIT Kharagpur has announced the release date of GATE admit card for the upcoming Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022. Whereas initially the admit card was supposed to released on January 3, it was postponed to January 7, and then again. After last Friday’s postponement, there was a long silence from the organizers, which led candidates to believe exam could be postponed. However a few hours ago, the organizers finally revealed the release date.
On gate.iitkgp.ac.in, under candidate login section, one can see this text – Admit card download available from January 15, 2022. And under the important dates section it reads “15th Jan, 2022 (Sat) – Admit Card will be available for download.“
GATE exam will be held on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022. It appears that despite pressure from various quarters, IITs will not postpone the exam.
GATE 2022 Admit Card – Where and How to Download?
Candidates should keep their login credentials handy. They will be able to download the hall tickets from the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) at gate.iitkgp.ac.in only. The url of the same is gate.iitkgp.ac.in/apps.html.
At GOAPS, candidates will have to login by filling three fields. In the first, they can fill either enrollment ID or email id. And in the second, they can only fill password. And in the third, one has to fill captcha code.
Forgot enrolment id or password – What to do?
In the event that one forgets login credentials, they can click the forgot login credentials button at GOAPS login. This leads to the option of getting the login credentials via OTP. To request OTP, candidates will have to enter their mobile number, and enrolment id or email address.
Important note – Candidates must check all details in their GATE admit card 2022. This is because there are high chances that the admit card could be asked to be used as travel pass or such a document under the travel restrictions in various places. Moreover, one should take note of the exam center and make travel plans accordingly.
With this, now less than a month remains for the exam. After downloading admit card of GATE 2022, candidates should focus solely on preparation.
