DU Merit Based Admission Process After Cutoff Announcement Available!

University of Delhi (DU) has released a notification explaining the merit-based admission that is to be followed after the announcement of the cutoff. As per the schedule, the first cutoff list will be issued on June 19, 2018. Students who will clear the DU Cutoff will have to login candidate portal and choose the course and college to generate admission application form.

On the basis of the first cutoff, the admission will be done between June 19 to 21, 2018. Once the admission form is generated. The candidates need to visit the respective college for admission. During the visit, the candidates will have to submit class 10th and 12th mark sheet, class 12th provisional certificate, recent character certificate from the school, transfer certificate as provided by the school, category certificate (if applicable), and non-creamy layer certificate if OBC.

These documents are to be carried in original and as the self-attested photocopy. Along with it, the candidates will also have to carry a minimum of two passport size photographs. The photographs should also be self-attested.

The respective college will keep all the documents and the application. Once the Principal approves the application, the fee payment option will appear in the dashboard of candidate login. Students then need to pay the application fee. The fee amount can be paid online via net banking or debit / credit card. The payment of fee is the final step, after the successful payment, the admission process will conclude.

If a candidate has initiated the admission process but want to take admission in other college or course then they need ensure the eligibility and cutoff. If all the conditions are satisfied, then the candidates will have to open the candidate login and cancel the already done admission. To do so, candidates will have to pay requisite admission cancellation fee.

After the payment of fee, the candidates need to take a print out of the cancellation receipt and submit the same to the college they were admitted and withdraw his/her original certificates. After the cancellation of the previous DU admission, the candidates again need to follow the same process to apply in the new course and college.
